DIANNE HOBDEN



Dianne Hobden began her career as a singer, majoring in music at SUC Fredonia many many years ago. Since then she has branched out into acting, directing and producing.

Dianne has appeared locally in many performances in theaters over the last several years. She has performed with the Ghent Playhouse in such plays as Death of a Salesman, Moon Over Buffalo, Sylvia, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Into the Woods, Crossing Delancey & A Little Night Music; the Theater Barn in Grease, The Gondoliers & Bells are Ringing; Upstage Productions in Annie and Columbia Greene Community College in Working. She has also worked behind the scenes as a director of several plays, including The Ghent Playhouse's productions of I Hate Hamlet, And The World Goes Round & The Lion in Winter. She is looking forward to directing Pal Joey this spring (April '05).

For the last three years, Dianne has also had the good luck to be part of the Saturday Night Liv Really Convincing players. This has given her the opportunity to REALLY stretch her acting talents by playing such parts as: Aunt Bee, Salty Dog and….Liv Cummins!

Dianne supports her theater career by working as a Librarian at Shaker Junior High School in Latham, NY where she is also the Drama Club Advisor. She lives in the woods in Canaan, NY with her husband, David, and assorted pets. Her three children, Sarah, Jessica and Matthew, are grown.
